The founders of Rohit Group of Companies, Radhe and Krishna Gupta are determined to reach their latest goal but it’s not an easy feat! Their goal is to raise $50,000 for the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation and to climb the largest free standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro. “This is the experience of a lifetime,” says Krishna as they embark on this journey together.

Training has begun as the Kilimanjaro climbers arrived at the Jasper National Park last month to take on Morror Peak, a popular six hour training climb for more difficult expeditions. A real life simulation brings to life the demanding terrain they will be experiencing as they head to Tanzania on August 8th for the 11 day trek across varying climate temperatures and altitudes.

Weeks of training and spirited preparation have brought the couple closer together as they push themselves through Edmonton’s river valley on an ongoing basis. Radhe and Krishna have raised over $36,000 to date and have been hailed in the media as positive models of the human spirit. CTV and the Edmonton Journal are just a few of the media outlets that have been providing coverage of the climbers. Only two and a half weeks remain before they leave for the climb.

“It’s so inspiring to see them take this on at this stage of their lives,” said Linh Pham, who works at Rohit Group of Companies, “We’re all cheering for them!”
