Rohit Group Celebrates Little Warriors Grand Opening of the Be Brave Ranch
September 27, 2014 marked a historic day as the Little Warriors’ Be Brave Ranch celebrated its grand opening after years of dreaming, planning and perseverance. The Be Brave Ranch, located in Strathcona County, Alberta is the first long-term treatment facility in Canada for children and families who have experienced sexual abuse.
As a project made possible by the donations and volunteer time by everyday Albertans who believed in the project and the cause it stood for, Rohit Group of Companies was honoured to have played a small role in making the ranch a reality. In a push to get the ranch ready to accept the children for treatment in the fall, over 50 Rohit staff came and erected a 20’X20’ playhouse, revitalized the playground, repainted the existing skating rink, and help complete the property landscaping.
“Rohit Group is a truly philanthropic organization but this was so much more,” says Amy Power, Marketing Manager for Rohit Group. “Our staff and our amazing vendor partners donated time and materials in order to make our playhouse a reality. We’ve built many houses over the years but this one is particularly special – it stands for a place where kids who have endured many hardships can just be kids again.”
