Human Resources Coordinator – Edmonton Division

Reporting to the Manager, People and Culture, the Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive support of the day-to-day operations of human resources ensuring the efficient delivery of recruitment processes, and maintaining and managing the accuracy of employee data records.  The HR Coordinator provides a customer focused and effective HR support service to the organization across multiple regions to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives.



  • Working with the hiring manager to assess the ideal candidate attributes and craft job descriptions, determine effective posting channels, preliminary screening of applicants, interview coordination, reference checks and drafting job offers.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems is an asset.


  • Generate and present offer letters to selected applicants, communicate with new hires and coordinate with support teams and managers to ensure a stellar first day experience.
  • Conduct orientation sessions and provide guidance on Benefits and RRSP programs.

Employee Care & Administration

  • Maintain all employee files with complete accuracy.
  • HR metrics tracking and reporting.
  • Manage and maintain all Canada Alberta Job Grant applications for Learning and Development courses for all employees.
  • Perform HRMS audits and verification of data integrity of all HRMS entry.
  • Employee support.
  • Liase with Payroll on compensation.
  • Support various HR projects as initiated or assigned.


  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience supporting HR functions.
  • Degree, diploma or accreditation in Human Resources Management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Human Resources functions and programs and Employment Standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks – must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Highly detail oriented and accurate.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Strong in ability to be flexible, innovative and independent.
  • Competency in MS Office suite of tools.
