The following individuals make up our management and executive team at Rohit Group of Companies.

Radhe Gupta – Chief Executive Officer

As CEO and founder of Rohit Group of Companies, Radhe is responsible for the oversight of all divisions within the company. He also takes on the development of the strategic planning of mergers, acquisitions, and investments. Radhe has achieved a BSC in Engineering, and two Masters Designations in Engineering. He has also recently been awarded with the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Real Estate & Construction across the entire Prairie Region, named to Edmonton Journal’s Power 30, and Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employer. Radhe believes strongly in giving back to the community. A few of the many organizations he has been involved with are the Mental Health Foundation, Senior’s Association of Greater Edmonton (SAGE), and establishing medical and educational programs in his hometown of Jora, India. Today, Radhe’s wealth of knowledge and years of experience are being shared with the next generation of leaders as he takes an active role in mentoring the team.

Sean Johnson – Chief Financial Officer

Sean Johnson is responsible for the strategic oversight and financial operations of Rohit Group of Companies. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and Alberta, as well as a Commissioner of Oaths. He brings with him over 33 years of financial experience, predominantly in the areas of real estate development and oil and gas.  Sean’s strengths are in acquisitions, negotiations, taxation, budgeting, revenue growth, risk mitigation, and corporate reorganization. Over the years, Sean has been a member of Boards of Directors for numerous organizations, including Legal Aid Alberta and the Canadian Ski Patrol. He has also given numerous presentations across Alberta on a variety of topics including income tax, effective organization structure, financial reporting, seamless ownership succession, and risk mitigation.

Rohit Gupta – President

As President of Rohit Group of Companies, Rohit’s responsibilities include the strategic direction of the firm and oversight of all operations. Rohit is the forefront of new opportunity development and special projects for the firm. He has helped drive the growth of the organization from housing into commercial, land development, and real estate lending; introducing its newest division, Rohit Capital into the company’s portfolio. Rohit’s strengths are in creating new opportunities and identifying unintended consequences. He also has a powerful and ongoing commitment to give back to the community. This is in line with his goal to make the organization “an institution that is respected for the way it conducts business, a leader in real estate, and a contributor to the world beyond the organization itself.” Rohit has achieved an MBA and a BSC in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta, as well as a Master Home Builders Designation from the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta. He has also served as the Chairman of the Board for the Alberta New Home Warranty Program, and Chairman of the Professional Builders Institute of Alberta. Rohit is also the recipient of the Top 30 under 30 award, and Edmonton’s Power 30 award.

Russell Dauk – Vice President, Land & Commercial

As Vice President of Land and Commercial for Rohit Group of Companies, Russell is responsible for overseeing all aspects of land development, property management, and commercial project development in Edmonton and Fort McMurray. He is also involved with the purchasing and servicing of lands, the creation of new neighborhoods, project acquisitions, new product development, community consultation, and the review of future housing markets that present opportunities for building operations. Russell brings with him over 25 years of planning experience in Alberta from a wide variety of public and private settings. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan Regional and Urban Planning Program, holds a certificate in Local Government Administration from the University of Alberta, and has taken Real Estate specific courses at Harvard Business School. He was also the past Director with AACIP (Alberta Association, Canadian Institute of Planners). Russell has served as the President of UDI Alberta (Urban Development Institute) and was recently bestowed the Spirit of UDI award for outstanding contribution to the industry. He was also the recipient of the 2012 Klaus Springer Award for Outstanding Contribution to CHBA (Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Alberta).

Adil Kodian – Vice President, Rohit Communities

As Vice-President of Rohit Communities, Adil is responsible for the leadership, oversight and profitability of operations, sales, human resources, information technology, and marketing within Rohit Communities for Edmonton and Fort McMurray. His role also entails corporate strategic planning for the overall group of companies. Adil’s primary focus is to transform Rohit Communities into Edmonton’s premier builder. Adil holds an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, has received a B.Eng. from the National Institute of Technology in Surat, India, and brings 15 years of leadership experience from multiple industries.

Krishna Gupta – Vice President, Rohit Charities

Krishna Gupta currently serves as the Vice-President of Rohit Group of Companies.  Rohit Group of Companies was founded in 1986 by Krishna and her husband Radhe Gupta and together they built the company from a small home builder to a diversified organization with complementary interests in residential and land development, commercial assets and real estate lending. Today, Krishna is responsible for overseeing product development and is the driving force behind the award-winning designs and innovation of the product lines created by Rohit Communities. With her commitment to combining smart design and value in every home there is continuous improvement and innovation built into each and every plan. Krishna achieved a Bachelor of Science and Education in India, diplomas in design and drafting, and a Master Builder Designation from the Professional Home Builders’ Institute of Alberta (PHBIA). Her diverse background and long history in the home building industry make her an integral member of the management team at Rohit Group of Companies. Most importantly Krishna has been the proprietor in developing the philanthropic division of the firm, Rohit Charities. Taking on the management and strategic direction of Rohit Charities, Krishna feels that this initiative is very close to her heart. She has spearheaded many projects and has partnered with many non-profit organizations over the years including the Stollery Children’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, the Cross Cancer Institute, Little Warriors, Glenrose Hospital Foundation, Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation, Norquest College’s 1000 Women: A Million Possibilities, organizer of the baskets of hope in the support of the WIN House, executive member of the Indo-Canadian Women’s Association and as an Board member of Mental Health Foundation. Krishna is recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Community Service. Krishna wears many hats but her favorite role is the proud Grandmother of Arya and mother of her two successful children, Rohit and Noopur.

Rus Matichuk – Vice President, Rohit Capital

As Vice-President of Rohit Capital, Rus is responsible for the leadership and oversight of this area. Sourcing, securing and managing sound debt and equity investments are key areas of focus for him. Rus holds a B.Ed. Business with Distinction degree from the University of Alberta, and brings 29 years of management experience in different industries. For the past 14 years he has worked in the business financing sector assisting primarily with real estate and M&A transactions through his role as co-founder and President of an Edmonton based company. In addition, Rus has played key roles in launching and growing a number of key financially oriented or industry focused associations or initiatives in Alberta, including Deal Generator, VenturePrize, Banff Venture Forum, ACTia, and InfoTech Alberta. Rus continues to be active as a board member or volunteer with both private and public organizations.
